Welcome to today’s newsletter. As we enter the tax season in the United States, small businesses and self-employed individuals start stressing out to collect records of every transaction for the past year, individuals try to do their own taxes to save money, and workers receive a piece of paper that goes to the tax person and hope for the best. If you are someone who believes that taxes are an evil entity that threatens your happy life, if you freak out about tax season, or if you are one of those waiting for the tax refund check to go on a shopping spree, grab your coffee or drink of choice, and let’s go for an eye-opening ride.

2- Book recommendation for the week.
"Tax-Free Wealth: How to Build Massive Wealth by Permanently Lowering Your Taxes" by Tom Wheelwright is a popular book about using tax strategies to increase your wealth. Here's some information for you:
Overview:
It describes how to understand and utilize the tax code to your advantage, lowering your tax burden and maximizing your wealth.
The book aims to empower individuals and businesses to navigate the often-complex tax system and leverage its incentives to their benefit.
It claims to provide practical strategies and legal loopholes for reducing taxes in areas like income, real estate, and retirement.
Key points:
Shifting perspective: The book emphasizes viewing taxes as "incentives" offered by the government, not just burdens.
Utilizing different asset classes: It explores various investment options like businesses, real estate, and retirement accounts that offer tax advantages.
Legal tax minimization: The book focuses on legal strategies for reducing your tax liability within the framework of the law.
3- My analysis on today’s topic.
You cannot escape taxes, but you can learn the game.
If you are someone who believes that taxes are a political scam or an evil entity that threatens your happy life, don’t worry—you are not alone. But I also believe that there’s an incentive to learn how to play the game and make tax season a time to collect rewards on a full-year investment that also benefits you in the short and long run. Many people stress during the year trying to save money, maximize profits, and accumulate as much FIAT money as possible. However, the tax system was created by governments to financially benefit from their constituents wealth and collect money that can be used to improve the quality of life of their citizens, protect them from outside threats, and create the infrastructure that will make your country, city, or neighborhood an appealing habitable place. Oh, I forgot—also to pay the salaries of government officials to make sure they go to work. (For some reason, this last one seems to be the one they focus on the most.)
In ancient times, the king, emperor, or ruler would collect taxes by force, but with the creation of democracy, the game changed, and to collect those taxes, it was necessary to create an incentive system that ensures people pay their taxes willingly in exchange for an economic benefit. You can see that every time the incentive gets threatened by bad economic policies, there’s always the fear factor created by war, disputes, diseases, violence, or misinformation in order to achieve the desired outcome, which is the collection of tax to keep the system running. If you don’t have the money, they will print it and give it to you so you can pay your taxes. Wait!... what?... yes. If necessary, governments create money by devaluing your current purchasing power with a little scheme called inflation and then print FIAT money to give it to you in the form of loans, social plans, food stamps, credit cards, tax refunds to make sure you keep consuming and generating tax revenue. Does it sound like a vicious circle that never ends?... yes... Robert Kiyosaki calls it the rat race.
However, like every scheme, it gets to a point where it doesn't work anymore, and here’s where the opportunity awaits for those willing to put in the time. The government has a series of tax incentives to promote consumption that will reduce your tax bill and help you maximize your profits, but that’s just the beginning. Their objective is for you to have extra cash in your pocket to go out and become a consumer of unnecessary things and tax you again. What do the wealthy do? and how do they multiply their assets year after year while the rest of the people just save FIAT money to try to buy a dream home? Wealthy people grab that paper FIAT money created out of thin air and learn how to make it work for them. Some of us choose the digital realm to store in #Bitcoin, which in the long run appreciates in dollar value faster than any other investment or saving proposition out there. (If you are one of those people who are going to compare #Bitcoin returns with some other #Cryptocurrency to show me that they appreciate faster and also hold digital value, please do some research before you get rug-pulled by insiders and you lose your money like we all did until we understood that this journey is a long one that requires knowledge and proof of work.)
But going back to the FIAT realm where cash is king, one of my favorite tax incentives is the retirement accounts because you can get a tax discount for any dollar you store in a retirement account. The catch is that you cannot touch that money until you reach the retirement age in the United States:
Born between 1943-1954 = 66
Born between 1955-1959 = 66 years and 2 months
Born in 1960 or later = 67
Now, the wealthy know something that other people don’t, and that is that financial institutions that hold this type of accounts often offer loans against that accumulated capital. When you take a loan in the United States, it is tax-free money because you have to repay it and it also generates interest, which creates another deduction in your tax bill for the year. And here’s where the game splits between those who are extremely wealthy and those who live with a pile of debt and are stressed for the rest of their lives. When you take out that loan to acquire assets that can become future collateral or buy a rental property or build a company that will generate cash flow, your money and your wealth multiply tax-free, and you become part of that 1% that everyone seems to hate these days, and politicians accuse them of rigging the game while in reality, they are just better at playing it than those who engineered the scheme in the first place. The game is a FIAT scheme that ends with the creation of more poverty around those who don’t have access to these tools. The reason I like #Bitcoin and I believe it is a solution to the purchasing power loss of many people around the world is that it levels the playing field by requiring PROOF OF WORK to acquire it, and you don’t need FIAT money to get #Bitcoin if you can provide value to someone who is willing to exchange it for a good or service. And the most important part… by design 1 Bitcoin = 1 Bitcoin forever, and governments can't devalue it, which makes it a fairer form of money and the best asset to store and exchange value and purchasing power. You can understand why government officials, financial institutions, extremely wealthy people, and all those who benefit from the FIAT scheme and tax incentives will never see the true value of #Bitcoin, and in some cases, will fight its adoption with false information, fake news, and fear to ensure the “system” continues its course.
To close today’s article, I believe economic incentives run the world, I believe in the phrase “Don’t hate the player, hate the game,” and most importantly, I believe #Bitcoin will continue teaching a lesson to those who don’t believe in the value proposition and proof of work. In my opinion, being productive is not a choice; it's a must in order to achieve success and live a richer, wiser, and happier life. I attended a school event for my daughter last night, and the desperation and confusion I saw in those trying to convince you to become part of the rat race was sad to witness. They couldn't even explain why your life will become more complicated once a kid leaves elementary school. If, like everything that came before, was not proper education. I always run away from those who end their presentations with “You see what I’m saying?” To me, those are the people who don’t have a clue and just want to make sure they did their job by passing on some information given to them, whether it's useful, real, or not. Unfortunately, these are the people in charge of our kids' education. Learn about the benefits of the tax code in your area so you don’t depend on a tax advisor who says “You see what I’m saying?” and your response to everything about money doesn't start with “My bookkeeper told me...”
