5. Proof Of Work vs. Proof Of Stake in your every day life / "Prueba de Trabajo vs Prueba de Participación en tu vida cotidiana".

Hello and welcome! Let's explore the beauty and complexity of music, business, and personal development together.
Today, I want to delve into the concept of proof of work versus proof of stake, something that was once so obvious but for some reason we decided to change it in order to live a "comfort zone" life where our real value comes from the things we have, and not how we obtain them.
How about a joke by Sadhguru to start our reading? (Forgive the language, but it doesn't sound funny without it.)
On a certain day, a bull and a pheasant bird were grazing in a field. The bull was grazing on the grass, and the pheasant was picking ticks off the bull. They were partners, you know?
Then the pheasant looked at a huge tree at the edge of the field and said very nostalgically, "There was a time when I could fly to the topmost branch of the tree, but today I do not have the strength even to fly to the first branch of the tree."
The bull very nonchalantly said, "That's no problem! Eat a little bit of my dung every day, and you will see that within a fortnight's time, you will reach the top of the tree."
The pheasant said, "Oh, come off it! How is that possible?"
The bull replied, "Really, please try and see. The whole of humanity is on it; you could try too."
Very hesitantly, the pheasant started pecking at the dung, and on the very first day, it reached the first branch of the tree. In a fortnight's time, it reached the topmost branch of the tree. It just went and sat on the topmost branch and enjoyed the scenery. The old farmer saw a fat old pheasant on the top of the tree. He took out his shotgun and shot it off the tree. So the moral of the story is: even bullshit can get you to the top, but it will never let you stay there.
Well, the same moral goes for proof of work versus proof of stake. Proof of work is the idea of having to actually do some work, provide a good or a service, and do something valuable in exchange for wealth, richness, health, and a quality life. We cannot acquire real value or improve our lives at someone else's expense. It will always come back to haunt you. We forgot that in order to build the most beautiful pieces of art throughout history, it was necessary to spend years and put all of our energy into it. The wealthiest person with no skills will pay the artist because they needed the “proof of work” in order to get something of quality to show off their “proof of stake” and be accepted by society. But who remembers the owner of those valuables? We just know the person who created the piece. In music, you can steal from everyone in order to create the next hit, but in the end, we all know where it came from, and your song will always be remembered as the one that sounds like the original piece from which you stole. In business and life, it is exactly the same. You cannot steal someone's ideas or work to become successful. Instead, you can learn from those mentors in order to discover your own value and create something that will inspire future generations. Hopefully, you will be remembered as the person who created the piece, not just the one who owned it.
In summary, I believe the best description for proof of work can be explained with a phrase that I love: "A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking because the trust is not in the branch, but in its own wings." Make sure you develop your strength, and you will never need to rely on a branch to support you.
Many are afraid of the arrival of artificial intelligence or managing their own wealth through Bitcoin, but the reality is that these tools will simply benefit those who have something valuable to offer. The only ones affected and fearful of these technologies are those who have built their fortunes and jobs at the expense of others.
See you next week!

¡Hola y bienvenido!
