Welcome to my weekly article. If you are a returning reader, a big shout out to you for your support. If you just arrived here, please subscribe and share if you find some value in my writing. Today, I want to dive into what I believe is the cause of why many people fail to achieve their dreams... A lot of people like to call it bad luck or lack of opportunities. I believe those people just have chosen to follow and learn from the wrong mentors. If you are someone who has done this in the past and decided to start curating who you learn from, or are in the process of leaving those nonbelievers behind... grab your coffee or drink of choice and let’s start.

2- Book recommendation for the week.
"The Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Graham is a classic book on value investing, first published in 1949. It's considered one of the most important investing books ever written. Graham, known as the "father of value investing," outlines his investment philosophy, which emphasizes the importance of buying securities when they are undervalued and selling them when they are overvalued.
One of the key concepts Graham introduces is the distinction between investment and speculation. He encourages investors to approach the market with a long-term perspective, focusing on the fundamentals of the companies they invest in rather than trying to time the market or chase short-term gains.
Graham also introduced the concept of "margin of safety," which suggests that investors should only buy a security when its price is significantly below its intrinsic value, thus providing a cushion against potential losses.
The book has had a profound impact on countless investors and has influenced many successful investors, including Warren Buffett, who studied under Graham at Columbia Business School and has often cited him as a major influence on his own investment philosophy.
3- The Editorial:
Avoid taking advice from those who haven't reached the life you aspire to live. (Choosing your mentors carefully can be the difference between failure and success.)
As we delve into today’s topic, let’s start by understanding that many people, if not most of them, like to discourage others from taking risks due to their own failures or fear of success. No one can give real advice on how to take a leap of faith unless they’ve done it before and survived to tell the story. Most people discouraging others out there are people who have no clue. At the same time, those giving advice on taking unnecessary risks usually come with some undercover intention that we should all be aware of. It’s very uncommon for a boss to encourage an employee to go out on their own and become a possible competitor. A lot of people love to give financial advice with or without a degree, and in both cases, a big percentage of those people can’t afford the lifestyle they are trying to portray in front of their clients. A financial advisor will tell you how to allocate your finances properly to become a millionaire by the time you retire, but how many of those advisors are actual millionaires? How many of them run businesses and have a proper balance sheet?
The average salary for a financial advisor is $75,467 per year in California, and $17,800 commission per year. (Source: indeed.com)
The first thing they recommend is to get out of debt and stay away from risky investments... but... isn’t that the formula to become wealthy? If you study the life of those who have actually achieved great wealth, you will find a very common pattern: they took a shot when everyone else was afraid to take it. And they never followed the advice of those who told them that their goals were too risky or impossible to achieve. If you run a small business or are in the process of studying a career to follow your dreams, I’m pretty sure you have encountered people along the way who told you to look for a “safe” job that pays well. Usually, these are the same people who complain that everything is getting expensive and that no matter how hard they work, everything is a struggle. As soon as you present a different option, they run the other way because it's too risky. However, I cannot find anything riskier than trusting a third party with your life and wealth... I’m pretty sure you still remember that a couple of years ago, they told everyone to stop working at their “safe” job and go home until further notice... all that while they destroyed your purchasing power, devalued your money, and basically replaced half of the jobs with automation. By the time they told you to come back, you received a “gift” from the government in the form of a check or social plan, and your job was gone or no longer enough to sustain your lifestyle. But wait, those who took the shot and did the risky thing by following their dreams ended up with government incentives, the possibility of working from home, and the opportunity for a fresh start. Unfortunately, the phrase “the rich just keep getting richer” is a cliché used by politicians to lure you away from your dreams. Anyone can be rich and wealthy; it's a matter of who you choose to learn from. Every time I encounter someone wealthier and happier than me, I ask these two important questions: how do you do it? and what do you do with your free time?... every time it's the same answer... I took a shot when no one believed in me, and I use my free time to continue learning new skills. I continue to share my #Bitcoin journey because as a business owner, I have improved my financial skills as well as my music ones just because I decided to study what money is. Once you understand that #Bitcoin is honest money that cannot be diluted, you start wondering what else is fake out there?… And the answer will surprise you. As soon as I asked those questions, I realized that with honest money comes honest food, honest health, honest relationships, and most importantly, honest work and business ethics. You cannot expect to be paid honest money unless you deliver an honest value proposition. Eventually, you end up with long-term clients, a product that everyone appreciates, and your competition fading away for the simple reason that you don’t compete for price anymore… It’s all about customer service and value proposition. You basically become the “you can’t catch me” guy/gal. That’s why I personally believe that those who take a shot at something completely outside of the system to improve their life, whether it's a career change, a new job, a new challenge, or simply by trusting your gut and adventuring yourself into the unknown, those are the ones that end up richer, wiser, and happier like the book says. It may not be for you, but for me, studying #Bitcoin indeed is a constant eye-opening journey into a world of possibilities, where you can open any business you want, pursue any career you want, and achieve success by acquiring skills and improving your value proposition as a human being. #Bitcoin is honest money and will keep you honest… and it comes with the bonus of making the rest of your life honest as well. To the point that those who cannot mentor you into taking the risk of achieving success will have to move away. Choose a mentor that makes you forget the limitations, choose a mentor that will celebrate your success, and most importantly, choose a mentor that will not be afraid of having a disciple flying higher than was ever imagined. The greatest mentor I know created the best money that ever existed to give everyone the opportunity to succeed, and then he or she disappeared to make sure nothing can stop you from becoming the best version of yourself. The rest is up to you…
