Hello and welcome!
For the past weeks, we've been talking about creating value, storing value, and preserving value. However... what happens when you get stuck in a place, country, neighborhood, or home where the resources are not there for you to succeed? Let's grab a coffee or your favorite drink and let's get to it.
We grow up with the idea that our family purchased or built a home to preserve the riches, traditions, and values so that when hard times come, we do everything in our power to make sure we stay where we are and embrace the storm. This is not how history and legacy were built. In fact, your grandparents probably came from somewhere else to build or purchase that house!
It is very important for us to understand the way the farmer works. The farmer throws thousands of seeds, not expecting all of them to grow into something, but knowing that some of them will. Then, nature takes over. But in the past, when the soil was bad or the weather did not help agriculture, families would move to another location and start again, and again, and again.
We have become a generation of people who don't want to do the work, who have a supercharged computer in the palm of our hands that allows us to find the best soils and the best opportunities, to learn new things at an exponential rate, and yet we use it to attack culture, beliefs, politics, innovation, and dance in the bathroom for other people to follow us, or worse... ordering pre-cooked unhealthy food delivered to our door so we don't have to walk down the street to get it ourselves. We have become a society that would save tons of money to go to a fancy restaurant or a concert but won't spend a cent to build their own values or legacy. Afraid of investing in your own future but always ready to buy expensive shoes with a credit card for everyone to think you are cool.
In music, it is very hard to become famous, and everyone seems to know the right path but never takes it. You also have people like Jay Z who was rejected by everyone until he built his own label, flooded the streets with mixtapes, and started promoting himself. The same happened to Google, Steve Jobs with Apple, Bezos with Amazon, and Musk with Tesla. Need more examples of people who couldn't find the right soil at home and decided to venture into the unknown? I don't. The characters change, but the story is always the same.
Just like leaving the rat race, changing the current situation you are in can be very scary, but if you are not happy, not satisfied with the life you have, and you are struggling, the answer is simple: MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE! It is okay to start over many times; that's what life is about. The average age for successful founders is 42... and I can promise you that wasn't the year they found their first company. In fact, a guy was 75 years old when he founded his best company... and you know it today as KFC.
We need to stop punishing failure and critical thinking while educating the next generations... or they will be too afraid to try something new!
Coming to the US from Argentina was one of the scariest things I ever did, but I can tell you I would take that path every day if I had to do it again. You cannot store new wine in old jars, and the same happens with knowledge, life and opportunities. I have many colleagues, family members, and friends who are my mentors in secret because I have never told them that I study them, and I make sure to absorb all the knowledge from every conversation we ever had. You may have a lot of mentors around you who can provide you with knowledge, support, and the encouragement needed to go find your best opportunities. Sometimes you just have to ask.
All these conversations are great until someone mentions money and the struggle of not having enough to make the move... and yet... you stay in the same bad conditions, complaining and frustrated, and still struggling because you're not making enough. Studying economics and history is one of the best things you can do today. As a kid, I never thought that information would be relevant because you move to the US with the expectation that bad things only happen in developing countries like Argentina.
(For your information: 104% inflation and interest rates at 97% in Argentina at the time of this article... Also, for your information... it happens every 10 years or so.)
Well, surprise my friend, fiat inflation, bad soil, poor-quality food, and the lack of opportunities can happen anywhere because as long as there are people who don't do PROOF OF WORK to improve their life, other people will do PROOF OF STAKE to benefit from that. That's why I believe Bitcoin to be an amazing tool to create financial independence and to go find the best place to build a life. I continue studying these technologies every day, and every time someone has something bad to say about them, I want to hear it because the best way to improve my arguments or learn something new is to constantly have my beliefs challenged and still consider them valuable and accurate. So don't live in the echo chamber, don't cancel people who don't agree with you, don't be afraid to express your political or religious views in front of the world, don't condemn someone for thinking or believing differently, and make sure you acquire every single piece of knowledge available to you... I can promise you it will make you successful, your arguments stronger, and you will never have to raise your voice to defend them. And as the title of my article says... If the resources are not available in your area... then MOVE!
See you next week!

¡Hola y bienvenidos!
